Milk carton box addicts

In earlier post, I made pencil holders and planters out of milk carton boxes, my house hold never discard milk carton boxes since. I will show you how to turn it into a clay planter, you need following materials:

1. Milk carton box

2. Clay (dollar store)

3. wax paper and food wrapper (optional)

4. rolling pin (for craft) you can use one from kitchen , but need thorough wash after use

5. utility knife to cut clay

6. pattern tool, (here I just use my marker's cap, it has round end)

step 1: cut carton box to the desired size

step 2: cover clay by food wrapper and roll it thin enough to wrap around box, cut excess clay if desired

Step 3: wrap clay as tight as possible to the box and fold the top edges inside to box and make it neat, then decorate the clay , here I use marker's round cap to push into the clay so it has round dent , I did it randomly, it looks nature and very handmade handsome. Leave it dry over 24 hours. then apply sealer or poly .

It truly turn trash into treasure.
