Turn rugs into a Pouf

These 2 rugs from IKEA, been around in the closet for many years, one day, they just knock on me and scream for repurpose , browsing a blog (http://frame.bloglovin.com/?post=5924924539&blog=4526&frame_type=feed) , I found a pretty pouf made out of rugs, it is pretty simple but the end result extreme high end, I went even further by adding a leather strip, this leather handle makes carrying/moving this pouf a breeze.
Materials;
2 rugs (Ikea)
leather strip (old belt will do)
Needle and thread
lots of cotton
Illustration: 2 piece of paper representing 2 rugs, here let's review geometry , 2 rectangular ABCD and EFGH , align them 90 degree as pic1, the dotted line will be the ones to be folded later on, edge AD will be sewed on edge GH (in the middle between 2 dotted lines), then continue sew the rest of edges untill only one edge left, we need that opening to revert the rugs then add filling cotton in to make it puff.

Pic 3 very plain rugs

Cut an old belt to make a handle, belt hole saved me from sewing through hard leather, love the well worn look of this strip.

Ready for cuddle in with classic books

It can lean against wall or chair when not in use. good looking just like it is from PB or Hardware restoration.

Looks more handsome with books, I know it will be a perfect spot for my little reader

Made another one, bigger and softer :)
