Chevron pattern cushion DIY

Chevron pattern is trendy in this summer, but searching it online turned out either cushion is over priced or the colour and pattern is not right. I found 50cmx50cm cotton cushion covers @IKEA, 4.99$ each, white and black, when I saw the covers I pictured golden pattern on them. black and golden always look good.

1. Acrylic gold paint from craft store (1.25 $ per bottle)

2. painter's tape. I used pencil draw 10cmX10cm grid on the white cover. the black one is 17cmx17cm grid, then tape in diagonal , then use foam brush paint the wide chevron area.

3. it is how it looks after 1st coat of gold paint. apply 2 or 3 coats to make it more store bought look. also make sure tape is tightly stick to the fabric so paint won't bleed under the tape.

4. Hung to dry. also found some areas need more paint.

5. Final look, absolute gorgeous and up scale look.

6. this one is 17cmX17cm grid. found the bigger the pattern the higher end look it get. will put it in use for Christmas.
